Build and test
Run the checks defined for the installer and documentation site.
The installer, component projects, and documentation site live in separate repositories. Use the source record to open the reviewed component revision. Each repository defines its own Go version and checks.
SYSC installer
The installer source uses Go 1.26. Its CI workflow reads the version from go.mod. On Ubuntu, CI installs dash because an installer test exercises shell commands through bash, dash, script, and setsid.
From the repository root, run the same checks:
gofmt -l .
go vet ./...
go test -race -count=1 ./...
go build ./...The formatting check should print no files. Go tests report package results; vet and build should exit without errors. The release guide describes the tagged installer build. Its arm64 binary does not qualify the full suite for arm64; see compatibility.
Documentation site
Use Node 22 and the committed npm lockfile. From docs-site/, run:
npm ci
npm run check
DOCS_BASE_PATH=/sysc npm run checkThe check validates the catalog snapshot and navigation, generates Fumadocs types, type-checks the site, builds the static export, and checks exported links, assets, and search data. The second run checks URLs for GitHub Pages. See Maintain this documentation for the artifact preview steps.
Build by repository
The components do not share one Go workspace or test matrix. Read the current source repository's development instructions and CI workflow before running a check. Use the installer tag from the suite reference when you need to reproduce behavior from an installed release. A site build checks the documentation; it does not build or test component binaries.
